Cut into the face
Twenty rooms with thick walls, iron windows, and blackout that copes with a quarry dawn.
Terrace detailsTwenty rooms cut into the face. A spa in the old saw-shed, a restaurant in the mess, and an optional card room for guests eighteen and over — eleven minutes above the town floors.
11 minutes to Ashen, mostly downhill, lit to the second switchback.
20 stone rooms. Face side for the view; copse side for shade.
Spa included. Open 06:30–21:30. No treatments to book.
Restaurant of 30 seats. Breakfast included; dinner four nights.
22:00. The face carries sound; we do not.
Grellow was a working face until the 1970s. The terraces were offices and bunks. The mess fed the shift. The saw-shed is now the spa. The charge house, at the far end of the haul road, is the card room. Four uses, four doors, and none of them forces you through another.
People assembling casino short stays want a lively street they can walk to and a bed that cannot hear it. Eleven minutes of haul road does that more reliably than lining the stone.
We quote by email, take no payments here, and never sell a terrace alongside play. If you want casino evenings out that still end in a quiet cut, this face already had the right distances.
The mess restaurant and the saw-shed spa are part of the stay whether or not you ever walk past the charge house. Most guests do not, and that is completely normal.
Twenty rooms with thick walls, iron windows, and blackout that copes with a quarry dawn.
Terrace detailsBreakfast until ten and dinner four nights. The cut restaurant seats thirty and always keeps a table for staying guests.
Mess hoursThe spa is a warm pool, steam, and a trough. Included, and there is nothing to upgrade.
About the bathsOptional, eighteen and over, photographic identification every time, never folded into a rate.
Gaming pageTwo nights covers casino weekends: arrive Friday, one measured evening in Ashen, a long Saturday between the baths and the mess, away after breakfast.
Four nights is a different holiday. The market, a full day of walking the old galleries, two evenings out rather than one drawn-out one. Most casino holidays booked here settle there after a first visit.
A week belongs to people who came for the stone. Some treat Grellow as a quiet casino destination and go down once; others walk to the casino circuit in Ashen every night and use the cut only for sleep. Both are ordinary here.
One high street, kitchens along it, a music room, and licensed floors at the station end. It behaves like a compact casino district. Casino visitors staying here walk. Casino nightlife thins around one. The casino venues there are independent businesses with their own licences, and we take no share of anything spent in them.
For casino town visits the order never changes: finish time, identification, and a route home before you leave.
The charge house is a small set of casino facilities: a casino floor of about twenty-six people, three casino tables, a short casino lounge against the rock, and four casino terminals. Casino hours are 19:00 to 00:15. Casino doors open from the haul road, not through any terrace.
Casino games are blackjack, baccarat, one wheel, and those terminals. Casino staff check identification at every casino entry. There is no casino pit in the strip sense, no casino bar with a stage, and no casino amenities that spill into the saw-shed spa or the mess restaurant. The casino area is one room. A longer casino walk is eleven minutes down the haul road.
Cut position. No wagering is offered on this website. No claims are made about winning. Photographic identification is required at the charge-house door, nobody under eighteen is admitted, and terraces are never sold together with play.
